What to expect

Your progress is not saved automatically. Choose Finish Later at the bottom of any section to save. This creates a portal login and you will receive instructions by email.

You can submit with or without documents and upload the rest later from the portal. We cannot make a decision until all required documents are in.

You can check your application status in the portal at any time, and we will email you as we review it.

Documents you'll need

You can start the application without these and upload them later from the portal, but we cannot make a decision until all five are in. Gathering them first saves you a second trip.

  1. Proof of identity. A passport, national ID, or birth certificate for the student.
  2. Proof of residence. A recent utility bill, lease, or government letter showing the family's current address.
  3. Official school transcript. The most recent transcript from the student's current or previous school.
  4. Character reference. A short reference from a community leader who knows the student: a pastor, coach, teacher, or mentor outside the family. The student requests this and uploads it.
  5. Personal essay. Written by the student, in their own words, on why they want to study at Global Pathways Academy. There is no required length; one page is plenty.

If a document is unavailable

If you cannot obtain proof of identity, proof of residence, or an official transcript, you may submit a signed affidavit in its place. Affidavit templates are provided inside the application at the step where each document is requested.

The character reference and personal essay are required for every applicant and cannot be replaced by an affidavit.

Can I submit without all documents?

Yes. Submit the application and upload remaining documents later from the portal. A decision is made once all required documents are received.

What documents are required to apply?

Proof of identity, proof of residence, an official school transcript, a character reference from a community leader, and a personal essay written by the student. If identity, residence, or transcript documents are unavailable, a signed affidavit may be submitted instead; templates are provided inside the application.
