The Mission of Global Pathways
A school built at the intersection of identity, opportunity, and faith
We exist not merely to educate students — but to form them. To delight in their existence, and to help them, over time, come to know and accept themselves honestly. That is the ground from which a student can truly learn, lead, and love others well.
Our Story
Built Where Formation and Opportunity Meet
Global Pathways Academy was co-founded by two people whose paths converged on a shared conviction. One is a nurse missionary who has spent her career working with children across multiple countries — including opening a school for underserved students in Central America. The other is a seasoned Christian leader and former EdTech CEO with a long-held belief that children, given access to real opportunity, are capable of far more than the world tends to expect of them.
What their combined experience revealed is this: opportunity alone is not enough. A student can be handed access to excellent curriculum, experienced teachers, and a credentialed diploma — and still not flourish. What is missing, when it is missing, is almost always the same thing: a stable, honest, and accepted sense of self.
So GPA was built at the convergence of three commitments — identity, opportunity, and faith. To know who you are, ultimately, is to know whose you are. That is the conviction every part of this school is built on.
"Opportunity alone is not enough. A student can be given access to excellent curriculum, experienced teachers, and a credentialed diploma — and still not flourish. What is missing, when it is missing, is almost always the same thing: a stable, honest, accepted sense of self."

Our Values
Five Pillars that Shape every Student's journey
These are not aspirations. They are the lived conditions every student at GPA experiences — from their first day, through every season of their formation.
"I am known."
Seen
Every student at GPA is personally known — not anonymous, not reduced to a grade. Each student has a dedicated Advisor who notices their growth, their struggles, and their strengths.
"I belong."
Loved
Students experience dignity, care, and belonging within a community that values who they are — not just what they produce. Belonging is not earned here. It is given.
"I can take risks here."
Safe
Students experience emotional and relational safety. Expectations are clear, mistakes are learning opportunities, and trust is the foundation. Growth requires risk — and risk requires safety.
"My choices matter."
Accountable
Accountability at GPA is relational, not punitive. Students are guided to take responsibility for their learning, their behavior, and their growth.
"I can act with courage."
Confident
True confidence is not arrogance. It is the ability to act with courage, humility, and purpose — students learn to lead from freedom rather than fear.
